If you are at the Central Business District area looking for lunch or simply looking for an affordable place to dig into good pastas, this might be the perfect spot for you. Recently, I came down to the Twyst outlet located at Raffles Place and tried out their specialty pastas which are definitely worth a try.
About Twyst
You can tell by its name that Twyst is a playful pun of the word 'Twist'. Twyst specialises in offering a unique selection of pastas and also a couple of other food options like sandwiches. Staying true to their slogan "Sinfully Good Pasta at Half the Guilt', Twyst takes pride in providing more affordable pasta options to the masses.
Yes, Twyst is halal! Their outlet located at Raffles Place is halal-certified. They have two other outlets -- One located at Asia Square Tower 2, and another at JEM. Both outlets are definitely looking into getting the halal certification too. So do keep a lookout!
Food at Twyst
Now, let's jump in straight to the food I tried at Twyst. I had the awesome opportunity to try their Chef's Signatures which are Alfredo, Miso Butter, Pomodoro and Laksa Olio.
This is the Chef's Signature Alfredo which consists of penne, smoked duck, cherry tomato and baby spinach. It is definitely worth a try for its price of $10.90, just like most of their other Chef's Signatures.
Next up is their Chef's Signature Miso Butter. Yes! It tastes as good as it looks. The Miso Butter spaghetti comes with chicken, mushroom and cherry tomato also with the price of $10.90.
Also part of Twyst's Chef's Signatures is their Pomodoro. Seafood lovers might be interested to try this one out. They are so generous with the amount of seafood you can see it for yourself! The Chef's Signature Pomodoro is also $10.90.
Another Chef Signature that I tried is the Laksa Olio which is also $10.90. This fusion option consists of prawns, cherry tomato and edamame.

Build-your-own Pasta
Apart from their Chef's Signatures, one unique option you can find at Twyst is their Build your own pasta, where you can choose your own protein and toppings on the pasta. You can also upgrade to a set meal for just $3.50 and any drink for $1.50.
I tried one of the freshly pressed paninis in their selection of sandwiches and this is the Spinach, Mushroom and Egg Panini for $5.50. However, do take note their paninis are exclusive to Raffles and Asia Square only.
